So this one took longer than expected cus I got totally side tracked trying to make part of this animated using after effects.
As you can see, I put that on hold...

This is me (onlu older, uglier and male), in a nutshell, so I'll try to share tips that I've got on counter-moskitism.

1. Always unplug your PC completely during night,to avoid even residual noise that may come from the PSU, in order to hear that high-pitched characteristic buzzing noise mosquitoes make.

2. Buggers like to fly in parabolic pattern and land on dark surfaces; climb on bed and start visually scanning from top to bottom - check the ceiling first (by moving around in a place, to avoid spooking them), then dark vertical surfaces, then walls and then if you can try checking behind any large furniture body. Mosquitoes are inherently sneaky and are masters of hiding. Kinda like an evil insectoid crossbreed of ninjas and vampires.

3. If you're visually located a mosquito, approach slowly and use a solid piece of flat, firm paper/cardboard (magazines with harder covers might do nicely, too). DO NOT use flyswatter, for they might escape trough holes. DO NOT approach quickly, they are sensitive to moving air and will escape. Last but not least, when you're about 20cm away from them with your paper-swatter, rapidly swat and don't worry about possible blood stain on the wall - your sleep is more precious than some stupid wallpaper or color.
